Form of workPhiladelphia Country Club is currently seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals to join our team as a Golf Outside Services Attendant for our upcoming season. This opportunity is part-time, with flexible scheduling and day, evening, and weekend availabilities based on business need.
The ideal Golf Outside Services candidate has experience and familiarity with Golf and prides themselves on providing outstanding customer service and gracious hospitality. If you do not have golf experience, please include your knowledge and skills and interest in Golf on your resume.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Greets Members and Guests upon arrival to the Club
- Daily set and breakdown of the practice facility including the sanding of divots.
- Utilizes driving skills to stage golf carts for play; cleans golf carts at the conclusion of play or practice and places on charge.
- Stages driving range with balls and laser target distances daily, makes sure driving range clock is accurate.
- Picks up range balls, cleans and restocks range when necessary.
- Loads, unloads, lifts, and carries golf bags in and out of Member's and Guest's vehicles or bag room and carries to the golf staging area.
- Maintains the cart barn, bag drop area, cart staging area, chipping area and putting greens making sure each area is clean, presentable, and free of debris.
- Assists Golf Professionals with on course deliveries and monitoring pace of play.
- Upholds the highest operational and Member service standards.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Well organized, dependable person who has the ability to work individually or collaboratively with a team.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions, asks questions when needed.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and show courtesy, friendliness, respect, and a helpful attitude.
- Ability and knowledge to identify any functional or mechanical issues with the golf carts.
- Has a flexible schedule and willing to work a variety of day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. .
- The employee frequently life, carries, or otherwise moves objects weighing up to 50 pounds and will spend over 4 hours daily standing or walking. Depending on the requirements of the event, this role may be performed indoors or outdoors.
- Must meet PCC standards for uniform, grooming, and hygiene.
