Role: QC Micro Shift Tech
Duration: 36 Months
Location: Golden, CO 80401 United States
Qualifications:
• Basic understanding of aseptic technique and microbiology
• Practical knowledge of laboratory equipment and laboratory safety
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Food and/or beverage manufacturing and/ or Quality lab experience beneficial
• Physical ability to…
o walk and stand for extended time
o lift and carry a case of beer samples
o use stairs and elevators frequently
o work in brewery environment (can include conditions from wet/cold to dusty/ hot)
Responsibilities:
• Quality Technicians are an important part of Quality lab team operations and are responsible for safely collecting samples from brewing and packaging operations and accurately processing all samples as needed for timely analysis, data reporting, and critical decision making.
• Specific responsibilities include the following:
o Consistent use of aseptic technique and adherence to Good Lab Practices,
o Timely and accurate data search and entry using multiple databases and computer systems,
o Appropriate use of two-way radios, personal CO2 monitors, laminar flow hoods, vacuum systems, autoclaves, aerobic incubators, anaerobic incubators, centrifuges, microscopes, pipettes, lab glassware, carts, tricycles, grab sample bottles, dishwashers, coolers, and freezers.
• Quality Technicians provide around-the-clock support of brewery operations by working 12- hour shifts on a 4 X 4 rotating schedule as outlined below.
o 6 am to 6 pm (4 days on followed by 4 consecutive days off) for 2 weeks,
o 6 pm to 6 am (4 nights on followed by 4 consecutive nights off) for 2 weeks,
o Repeat cycle.
• Quality Technicians adhere to all Safety, Department, Brewery, and Company policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
• Successful Quality Technicians are team players who take accountability for individual tasks, have a positive attitude, a customer service mindset, good time management skills, and a strong work ethic that aligns to client's values.
Comments/Special Instructions
4 days on - 4 days off. Dayshift 6a-6p for two weeks then to nights for two weeks
