We are looking for two (2) GMP Monitors for our plant in Easley, SC. The hours are as follows:
1st shift: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 am – 4:45 pm
2nd shift: Monday-Thursday, 5:00 pm – 3:30 am
Job Description:
- Communicate on a daily basis with the Maintenance, QC, QA, HR and Warehouse personnel
- Lead, supervise, coach, develop and request discipline for egregious GMP violators.
- Supervise all good manufacturing practices, processes and procedures in respective departments & areas of responsibilities.
- Evaluate, monitor & report employee, products, processes and equipment behaviors and performances.
- Coach, promote and enforce compliance to GMP’s, SOP’s, Safety Procedures and Company Policies.
- Follow written and verbal instructions by Manager
- Maintain process without deficiencies and deviations.
- Develop plans for continuous improvements related to area of immediate responsibilities.
- Train and record training of floor personnel.
- Promote positive relationships and harmony within the team and company.
- Meeting all production commitments, working independently and making effective decisions while executing tasks properly, so acceptable product quality is achieved.
- Evaluating and observing day-to-day activities in the Production/Packaging Department to ensure quality compliance daily production goals are met.
- Reviewing production data and training records for completeness and accuracy.
- Providing input and up-to-date summary reports for production/packaging operations.
- Developing production/packaging guidelines and SOP’s.
- Coordinate and when necessary participate in regulatory external and internal audits.
- Monitoring the calibration/validation programs for compliance; reviewing and approving associated documentation.
- Develop and implement plans related to cost savings efforts, report progress and meet goals.
- Ensuring all safety methods are followed during daily production/packaging
- Responsible for observation of cleaning and sanitation of equipment, utensils and environment within area of your responsibilities, according to the most current SOP’s and FSMA requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
- At least 1 year of quality experience - food industry preferred
- Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail are a must
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Food Safety, SOP, Pest control, Food Service and Bakery operation
Physical and Mental Requirements of this job:
Ability to work in a plant environment for extended periods of time (able to work in warm and cooler temperature environment).
Must be able to lift 20 pounds and work occasional overtime daily or on weekends.
