Pay Range: $112,102 – 150,644 annually
Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle
Are you a results-driven leader? NFM has an exciting opportunity available as our General Manager of Warehouse Operations. This role will lead four high-velocity distribution centers in Omaha, Nebraska; Kansas City, Kansas; The Colony, Texas and opening in 2026 our store in Austin, Texas. This position will oversee the flow of product and labor supporting $2 billion in annual sales revenue. You will manage, plan, direct and coordinate the distribution center operations for NFM to include all areas of operations; receiving, logistics, picking, prepping and more. Relocation assistance may be available to relocate to Omaha, Nebraska; our Home Office.
Job Duties: A Day in the Life
- Manage: Oversee the mission and critical measures of 3 (soon to be 4) warehouses with approximately 1,500 – 2,000 staff, including expenses, retention, turnover, customer satisfaction scores
- Lead: Coach, mentor and develop staff, including providing feedback and recognition regularly by using effective performance management tools. Create framework to encourage setting goals, receiving feedback, and performance development
- Strategize: Develop and formulate long and short-range planning policies, programs and objectives for warehousing and transportation. Manage strategic capacity plans and forecast
- Oversee: Assure processes and procedures are created and adhered to across multiple business units
Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?
- Bachelor’s degree in management, business, related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10 years warehouse/transportation experience to include inventory control, and material handling, scheduling, dispatch, 3rd party/provider negotiations
- 5 years retail operations experience preferred
- Experience with warehouse automation is preferred
- 5 years experience with managing multiple warehouses is required
- Ability to work nights, weekends and/or early morning hours based on business needs
- Ability to travel to other regions – 30% - 50%
