About the Team:
The Ultium Charging Products team serves as the center of expertise and champion of EV offboard Charging Products & related solutions for EV owners.
About the Role:
The Assistant Manager | Ultium Charging Product Operations will lead planning & readiness and support launch of Ultium Home Charging Products & solutions. This role will work cross-functionally & cross-border, supporting the launch and ongoing management of Ultium Charging Products. Geographic scope is the US & Canada, with potential expansion to other global markets.
Reporting to the Manager, Ultium Home Product Operations, this position supports the operations related to charging and energy products & solutions. This includes:
Responsibilities:
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, lead one or more of the following cross-functional
    • Scheduling and Ordering
    • Warehousing and Shipping
    • Customer Care and Aftersales
    • Data & Applications for Bi-Directional EV Support and Solar/Storage Customers
    • Warranty process and procedures
    • Change Management across vehicle programs and alignment to forecasts
    • Billing & Key Performance Indicator tracking
  • Proactively work with suppliers, partners, sales, and management as necessary to ensure workstream deliverables and contract requirements are met
  • Enable issue resolution across teams to ensure projects deliver to quality, time, and cost
  • Develop new tools, implement processes, provide feedback, and work with peers and other leaders to ensure continuous improvement of business operations
  • Maintain awareness of and identify procurement activities within the Ultium Products team which require expediting or leadership assistance to facilitate processing.
  • Liaise w/ Purchasing & Supply Chain and others to maintain awareness of manufacturing capacity planning.
  • Provide regular cadence of clear updates to leadership, to ensure awareness of progress including flagging areas of cost/schedule/technical risks.

Additional Job Description
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering, supply chain, or purchasing field required
  • PMP certification and/or familiarity and/or formal training in project management principles is a plus
  • Experience with aftersales, warranty, marketing, or product management
  • Proven track record partnering with internal stakeholders to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Strong organizational skills with proven track record of efficiently executing complex projects to completion at a high level of quality
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills required to effectively collaborate, motivate, and facilitate others in group situations
  • Desire to work in a complex and evolving environment and to bring an innovation mindset. Comfort working in a fast-paced start-up technology environment is essential.
  • Highly proficient in oral and written communication skills
  • Previous experience deploying energy storage in multiple regions is desirable.
  • Strong computer software skills, especially Microsoft Office, including familiarity with MS Project
  • Willing to travel 20-30% of the time, as necessary to execute responsibilities of the position

Background/Experiences
  • 5+ years of product management and/or SSM (sales, service, marketing) experience
    • Product marketing (research, planning, definition, business case)
    • Program management (resource allocation, dependencies, execution)
    • Marketing communications experience (i.e. brand, retail/dealer)
    • Strong knowledge of dealer operations (field/fleet experience preferred)
    • Experience presenting to Senior Leadership

  • Other:
    • Interest in becoming technically proficient in the unique aspects of EVs: charge times/lengths, types of chargers, customer requirements
