PositionOverview: The Global Supply Chain Planner is a critical role, responsible for planning, performance analysis, trend reporting, and supply continuity. Develop demand and manufacturing supply planning, perform scenario projections, and provide support for the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. Maximize customer service levels while optimizing inventory investments. Analyze Supply Chain performance trends and evaluate opportunities to improve inventory quality and increase turns. Work collaboratively with Supply Chain stakeholders to improve customer service levels. Review forecasts, sales trends, and conduct Supply Chain event planning. Work with business leaders to improve end-to-end performance outcomes.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop demand and supply plans activities which maximize service level, minimize inventory investment, maintain compliance with target inventory levels, and optimize end-to-end Supply Chain performance.
  • Develop and maintain robust Supply Chain projections and engage with stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and address gaps and risk
  • Identify and analyze process bottleneck and handoff gaps. Support the development and implementation of end-to-end Supply Chain initiatives that improve performance transparency, increase Supply Chain resilience, and eliminate process waste
  • Analyze Supply Chain trends and develop performance metric reporting such as sales trends, service level, forecast accuracy, inventory quality, and production/shipping attainment. Identify areas for Supply Chain improvement
  • Work collaboratively with Sales Operations, Marketing, Finance and Operations to improve communications, strategic planning, and functional accountability
  • Support Tier I and Tier II distribution activities optimizing warehousing and distribution activities to maximize service levels
  • Update monthly Supply Chain dashboard analytics
  • Conduct new product launch planning and support first time forecast activities
  • Recommend inventory targets, monitor cannibalization, oversee material phase-in/phase-out while ensuring service is optimized and scrap is limited
  • Oversee expired, excess, cycle count performance, and obsolete inventory management
  • Provide data to support strategic projects such as: product rationalization, safety stock composition, product phase in/phase out, and sunset product inventory management, scrap product disposal
  • Support the development of Supply Chain targets for the annual operating plan development
  • Achieve year-over-year improvements in free cash flow, inventory turns, and reductions in material obsolescence
  • Increase the deployment of Supply Chain standard work and develop work instructions accordingly
  • Serve as Supply Chain ERP subject matter expert (SME) and "go to" person for system issue resolution. Develop process requirements the ERP transition and support system selection and configuration mapping
  • Partner with sales to understand sources of demand, validate forecasts, and reduce forecast variability
  • Propose manufacturing capacity changes to ensure alignment to projected demand requirements
  • Advise management on the status of work in progress, material availability, inventory levels, and potential production or material supply disruptions
  • Provide Supply Chain support for business development initiatives
  • Instill, promote, and drive a “we win together culture” where employees are listened to, supported, and encouraged to participate in cross-functional improvement teams
  • Serve as a model for promoting safety, quality, supply continuity, and fiscal responsiveness
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical practices, contract terms, and applicable regulations
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
  • 7+ years’ experience planning or similar Supply Chain role resulting in mastery of Supply Chain business processes
  • 3+ years in a planning role supporting Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and/or Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and developing PowerPoint presentations for executive reviews

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Solid understanding of the End-To-End Supply Chain and its dependencies including demand planning, supply planning, materials requirements planning (MRP), and distribution requirements planning (DRP)
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to analyze business processes and workflows
  • Advanced Excel super user, proficient in managing large data sets using ERP system and Excel analytics tools.
  • Must be able to design and configure analytical spreadsheets for inventory analysis purposes with high attention to detail and focus on accuracy and high-quality output
  • Ability to convert strategy to results coupled with an enterprise mindset. Must be continuous improvement focused with the capacity to develop and implement improved Supply Chain processes
  • Self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skill. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams across geographies.
  • Results driven leader with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong project management, problem solving, data presentation, and organizational skills are required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years’ experience in a planning or similar Supply Chain role
  • Prior ERP transition readiness and implementation experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft D365, JD Edwards, or SAP ERP systems
  • New product launches
  • Green or Black Belt Six Sigma certification
  • LEAN training
  • Medical Device experience or similarly highly regulated field
  • Power BI report development

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arm’s length, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally life and/or move up to 50 pounds
