The Global Services HR Business Partner supports the Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Major Component Upgrades (MCU) and Global Parts organizations for GE Vernova's Onshore Wind business.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategy in support of business objectives and will work closely with the GE Vernova Onshore Wind HR team, the Services business leaders, and other key stakeholders to develop and implement HR strategies, programs, and processes to drive organizational effectiveness and employee engagement, and strengthen the Leadership bench.
You will provide expertise / guidance in the areas of culture & change management, coaching, talent assessment / development, succession planning, performance management and organizational design. A key objective will be to facilitate the development of a skilled and motivated workforce around the world.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide leadership and expertise for the full scope of Strategic HR client support, to include:
Strategic HR Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with the HR and business leadership teams to align long- and short-term HR strategies with business objectives and support the Onshore Wind team globally in areas like includeorg effectiveness, workforce planning, talent agenda and culture.
- Provide timely, effective and direct coaching to business leaders, assisting in the development of strong, contemporary leadership skills.
- Develop and execute HR initiatives to attract, develop, and retain diverse top talent within the organization.
- Participate in global HR planning, ensuring alignment with the onshore wind service industry's unique requirements and addressing any regional challenges/differences.
- Lead dialogue and facilitation with global HR partners supporting O&M, MCU and Global Parts.
Talent Acquisition and Development:
- Assist in the development of recruitment strategies, including sourcing, interviewing, and evaluation plans, to attract high-quality diverse candidates for onshore wind industry roles.
- Collaborate with leaders to design and implement learning and development programs to enhance the skills of current and future employees.
- Lead succession planning and talent development strategies for the organization, identifying critical roles and preparing potential talent and pipelines mentoring, training, etc
- Provide strategic coaching to key talent in extended client groups as it pertains to succession planning, career path development, and performance management.
Employee Relations and Performance Management:
- Working with regional HR partners supporting the Services teams, ensure managers and employees are knowledgeable about HR policies, practices and procedures, ensuring compliance with regional-specific employment regulations, labor laws, and industry-related policies.
- Handle employee relations issues, ensuring fair treatment.
- Support the performance management process for Onshore Wind Services employees, including coaching managers on effective feedback and development conversations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related area.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience with demonstrated achievement and leadership in HR, in an operations/Service oriented environment.
- Location in Schenectady, NY with ability and willingness to travel 25% of the time.

- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations in relevant global markets.
- Ability to work autonomously, assess situations/make judgements based on practice or previous experience.
- Excellent ability to prioritize multiple demands/stakeholders in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Proficient in MS Office and Workday.
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field from an accredited university or college.
- Demonstrated experience in making strategic HR decisions, assessing leadership talent and effectively interfacing with high-level business and operations leaders.
- Strong presentation skills and facilitation experience needed to effectively deliver a variety of HR-related training programs to groups of managers / colleagues.
- Ability to work in changing environments, see through complexity and strategically promote an inclusive / diverse workforce.
- Excellent collaboration, influencing, project management, organizational and change agent skills; strong background in change management.
