We’re looking for a Global Sales Leader to join our Fluence team in Austin, TX (can sit remotely in the United States with travel to Austin as needed).

The Global Sales Leader will manager a team that provides world class service to our most business-critical customers through the full sales cycle - from exploration and consultation through order generation and revenue.

The candidate will lead our North American and European direct and indirect sales teams, improve our sales operation and business development capacity and capability, and drive top line results while further enhancing our value proposition and business model.

What you’ll do

  • This role is responsible for leading, directing, and motivating the sales teams to achieve sales and margin objectives
  • Responsible for implementing locally relevant strategies to drive sales growth and market share
  • Delivers on AOP targets for revenue and margin, drives efficiency gains and manages customer offer performance
  • Establishes high levels of customer partnership and satisfaction
  • Work across Fluence with subject matter experts in areas such as lighting design, fixture engineering, installation teams, pricing and finance to meet the needs of customers, resolve customer issues and provide world class service in a timely manner.
  • Lead and enhance sales team, as well as sales support teams including field application teams and business development
  • Drives sales team engagement and culture of accountability

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture Science, Agronomy, Business or equivalent
  • Must have 8+ years of relevant sales experience in lighting or similar industries- preferably in sales/customer relations management (horticultural working experience preferred i.e. Greenhouses)
  • Position incumbent should average 5+ years of Sales Team management experience
  • 8+ years of proven track record in key account management and consultative selling principles, and quota achievement in a fast-paced technology industry
  • Global sales experience in Europe (sales management or direct) preferred
  • Key account planning skills and focus on strategic relationship development
  • Commercial listening and questioning skills, ability to win the seat at the right customer table
  • Skilled in one-to-many negotiations, able to create demand for solutions by leveraging empathy and trust-based relationships
  • Financial acumen and commercial savviness

Salary: $150,570 - $221,000;

Target Sales Incentive Opportunity - 45%
