How will you make an impact?

  • Works collaboratively with other functions including program management, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and finance to achieve business objectives.
  • Planning and purchasing of materials required by the site and required to achieve production plan per MRP Buy and Reschedule Messages
  • Through proactive review, monitoring, and escalation ensure production lines do not have part shortages.
  • Advance and expedite urgent needs and communicate to partners. Responsible for carrying out escalation procedures as required.
  • Bring up any price changes to Procurement Manager to learn Total Cost of Ownership including for the best possible landed cost and inventory strategy for purchased items.
  • Supervise and maintain inventory levels consistent with inventory demand while maintaining specific inventory requirements.
  • Work with suppliers to reduce replenishment lead times while limiting financial responsibility. Implement valuable programs with suppliers such as stocking arrangements to reduce site inventory while supporting manufacturing & customer demand flexibility.
  • Maintains integrity of master data and purchasing planning parameters in order to achieve site inventory and material acquisition strategy.
  • Understand and implement execution of our Supplier Quality requirements and standard methodologies.
  • In conjunction with cross functional partners, handle assigned cost reduction and supplier consolidation projects.
  • Participate in Root Cause Counter Measures to improve the performance of the business.
  • Participate in PPI and Strategic Sourcing activities to actively implement improvements that will benefit company goals.
  • In collaboration with peers: drive, document, and utilize standard methodology in department work practices (i.e. processes, procedures, and documentation that streamlines the sourcing process).

Start Date: This internship is set to begin in either May or June 2024 for a duration of 10-12 weeks – dependent upon student availability per academic calendars.

Compensation & Relocation: Our Graduate-level internships offer an hourly rate between $29.00 - $38.50 dependent upon the location you are supporting (aligned to respective cost-of-living guidelines). Additionally, a relocation stipend is offered in the amount of $5,000 if necessary. Student must be located 50+ miles away from the physical location of the internship to be eligible for the relocation stipend.

  • Graduate student completing Master-level degree between December 2024 and June 2025.

  • High degree of emotional intelligence and strong professional presence.
