Vaccination Requirement
The University of Nebraska Medicine Center (UNMC) requires COVID-19 vaccinations for all students, staff, and faculty. All employees must be fully vaccinated unless they have requested and been approved for an exemption based on a recognized medical reason, a sincerely held religious belief, or a pre-approved, 100% remote work agreement. Fully vaccinated means having received one dose of a single dose COVID-19 vaccine (Johnson & Johnson) or both doses of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination series (Moderna and Pfizer).
As a prospective and/or a new employee at UNMC, you will be/are required to comply with the UNMC's vaccination protocol. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers will have five (5) days from the date of hire to provide proof of partial or full vaccination or to request a medical or religious exemption. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers with proof of partial vaccination may have up to thirty-five (35) days from the hire date to be in full compliance with this policy. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers who receive a denial of a request for medical or religious exemption will be given five (5) business days from exemption denial notification date to provide proof of compliance with this policy. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers with no approved exemption who fail to comply with this policy will be separated.

Position Summary
The Research Project Manager in Global Ophthalmic Health will join a collaborative team with multiple projects internationally and domestically. Specifically, our research is related to retinal diseases and inflammatory eye diseases, including infectious and noninfectious diseases in adults and children. Over the past 6 years, our team has characterized ocular findings of Ebola survivors in West Africa and Central Africa. Responsibilities would be to write protocols and implement activities of the assigned sites in Africa. In addition, the individual would provide scientific and technical knowledge and support to research programs. The individual would provide the PI with technical information, communication and recommendations for program growth and future development.
