WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As the Global Mobility TaxSenior Manager, you will be an integral part of the constantly evolving Americas HR Services, People Solutions team, driving a coordinated HR agenda for the function and the business! You will draw on your tax expertise to provide guidance and support for all aspects of Global Mobility and employment tax compliance for Nike HR. Together, the HR Tax Compliance team will build and maintain a proactive, sustainable model of operational risk management across the globe.
The Global Mobility TaxSenior Manager needs to have strong Excel and project management skills, including experience with tax research and sophisticated problem-solving! You should be comfortable working independently and cooperatively with broader teams locally and globally and should feel comfortable presenting technical information in a concise manner to collaborators.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
In this role, it will be essential to be a trusted technical tax adviser to multiple HR functional teams. It will be equally important to develop a deep understanding of Nike internal operating processes and systems to drive compliance initiatives cross-functionally for continuous response to regulatory changes.
If this is you, you'll be working with your HR teammates with a focus on the following primary responsibilities:
  • Support the Global Mobility Tax program, including review and accountability for tax return filings and tax equalization calculations, management of tax payments and tax equalization calculation settlements for assignments and trailing income, including equity compliance
  • Consultation on complex transactions to assignee and business stakeholders, including policy consultation and exception management
  • Governance of tax technical positions on tax return filings
  • Provide governance, guidelines, and recommendations on Global Mobility tax compliance matters to a wide range of partners
  • Continuously supervise legislative developments to ensure internal processes remain current
  • Develop positive relationships across the organization to effectively educate and influence key risk and control issues
  • Apply your specialized expertise to minimize employment tax compliance risks while decreasing administrative burdens where possible

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
Reporting directly to the Director, GPO Compliance, you will play a key role in activating a comprehensive and integrated compliance offense as part of our People Solutions team. You will held drive Nike's strategy across mobility, benefits, retirement, compensation and equity programs throughout the Americas region.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Experience to include a minimum of 5 years in Global Mobility Tax
  • Exposure to broader HR employment tax compliance matters is a plus
  • Proven knowledge of key concepts of global expatriate tax, interaction of taxes between jurisdictions, deep knowledge of Double Tax Agreements and residence requirements in major jurisdictions
  • Deep understanding of all remuneration components, including cash components, LTIP, and benefits-in-kind.
  • Ability to network, influence, and utilize internal and external resources
  • Ability to offer appropriate solutions that balance business needs and compliance.
  • Strong information-seeking skills and ability to make things happen.
