Eurofins Discovery Services is searching for an experienced, commercially driven individual to create and drive a commercial vision for Biotherapeutic Services.
We are looking for an energetic individual with knowledge of biotherapeutic discovery and development and commercial experience in sales and marketing to development and enhance business performance. The successful candidate should have a good understanding of the drug discovery industry and biologics research and current trends in assays and regulatory environment for the drug discovery and development of biotherapeutics.
The position is a leadership position within Biotherapeutic Services business that will contribute to the overall strategy and direction of the business while being responsible for and focusing on the commercial elements of sales and marketing. The candidate will have a track record of Commercial success and managing/leading teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in setting goals and global strategy for the business with execution of the commercial elements of the overall business.
- Lead the sales/business development team and achieve/exceed top line sales targets for the business
- Lead the marketing for the global biotherapeutic services business. Manage all marketing channels to maximize market penetration and visibility.
- Analyze potential business opportunities, license opportunities, potential investments & strategic partnerships
- Maintain and develop key contacts with industry leaders, decision makers, and key academic research institutions
- Ability to represent EDS services at external events (e.g. tradeshows, client visits)
- Results orientated and ability to track progress against KPIs
- Create and maintain consistent global best practices.

Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience in strategic marketing, product management, or sales
- Demonstrated expertise, knowledge, and success in commercial activities driving financial successes within the drug discovery market Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience working within a life science tool markets, Contract Research Organization, or Pharma R&D
- Prior international business experience
- Demonstrated experience in bringing innovation to commercial strategy and tactics for a service-based business.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude, capacity for team environment, and exhibits a genuine interest in drug discovery in support of advancing human health
- Develops strategic plans to position portfolio to appropriate customer segments, provide feedback on competitive landscape, analyze market opportunities and customer needs to define new opportunities and provide input to R&D regarding new product development and ancillary support product needs.
- Leads the sales/business development team. Creates sales plans, sets targets, monitors KPIs and performance. Responsible for delivering sales opportunities for the business.
- Develops and executes global marketing campaign strategies and programs to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue and market share including branding and multi-channel marketing strategies.
- Help edit scientific publications, abstracts and posters
- Participates in strategic road mapping and recommends new products and services to the business team as part of revenue growth tactics and strategies
- Develops go-to market launch and communication strategies for both sales and marketing; executes related tactical plan and reports related ROI metrics of assigned portfolio
- Works with clients, colleagues, and thought leaders inside and outside the organization to successfully grow the business
- Defines and drives all marketing activities including branding, messaging, and positioning across all channels that includes comprehensive marketing campaigns leveraging across channels to create the buyer’s journey
- Ability to understand and translate customers’ needs into future product development, future strategies, and future tactics to aggressively grow the business.
- Ability to work independently as well as in strategic team settings
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to drive and achieve desired objectives
