Toyota's Global Office of the Deputy Chief Risk and Compliance Officer is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Global Compliance Manager, Anti-bribery and Anti-corruption.
The primary responsibility of this role is to refine and drive the vision, mission, and direction for a global Anti-bribery and Anti-corruption ("ABAC") compliance program with the goal of ensuring consistency and accountability with global, regional, country, and entity-level visibility.
Reporting to the Global Compliance Group Manager, Head of Anti-bribery and Anti-corruption, the person in this role will support the Global Office of the Deputy Chief Risk & Compliance Officer's objective to lead and manage a global ABAC compliance program coordinating with compliance partners and business leaders globally to develop global standards and advise on practical application and on-going execution. NOTE: While located in Plano, TX, this position is a global role reporting to Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan.
What you'll be doing
  • Understand Toyota's global business operations and provide strategic advice to local and regional business leadership on risk mitigation activities under the ABAC compliance program.
  • Drive timely and effective execution of ABAC risk assessments including reviewing financial business transactions, managing ABAC audits and compliance reviews, and collecting key ABAC compliance data points.
  • Assist in investigations into potential ABAC-related issues and manage monitoring of resulting remediation actions.
  • Drive collaboration between the ABAC team and various stakeholders within Toyota and serve as a champion of the global ABAC compliance program.
  • Participate in the development of the team's annual strategy and project plan and create and deliver messaging on program execution to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support the development and execution of ABAC compliance-related training programs.

What you bring
  • Bachelors degree in relevant fields required.
  • Progressive experience in audit, law, or comparable compliance experience.
  • Working knowledge of global anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws and regulations, such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act
  • Experience performing anti-bribery and anti-corruption risk assessments of international operations
  • Experience with providing strategic advice, such as interpretation of policies, to key stakeholders outside of the U.S.
  • Working knowledge of financial systems and controls
  • Outstanding judgment and discretion while handling confidential information and maintaining high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent communications skills - written, verbal, listening, and presentation, including ability to effectively communicate with non-native English speakers and an executive global audience
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Japanese language fluency.
