This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast paced environment. Working closely with the Front Office Stakeholders to ensure the firm manages and utilizes collateral in the most effective way, meeting financial target’s while ensuring regulatory compliance.

As Manager of the Global Collateral Optimization Middle Office in Market Operations, you will drive optimization of the firm’s principal collateral requirements. Working within Market Operations as a Manager of the Global Collateral Optimization Middle office, you will drive optimization of the firm’s principal collateral requirements. You will manage partnerships across Front Office, Collateral, Settlements, Product Control, Regulatory Control and Technology counterparts. The overall purpose of the role is to ensure that the firm manages and utilizes Collateral in the most efficient and cost-effective way, meeting our financial targets while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Job responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze collateral positions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with various teams to assess collateral need and optimize inventory.
  • Evaluate collateral usage trends and recommend adjustments.
  • Interface with internal stakeholders to resolve collateral related requirements and issues.
  • Generate reports and metrics to communicate collateral utilization and performance.
  • Implement solutions to streamline collateral management processes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Collateral Optimization & management practices.
  • Trade capture and maintenance with front to back RMS system monitoring.
  • Manage Cheapest to Deliver (CTD) optimization process for cash and security collateral postings.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Collateral Management practices including understanding ISDA documentation
  • Knowledge and experience of collateral financing
  • Strong understanding end to end lifecycle of the Financing business globally including product knowledge, trade capture, profit and loss (PnL)/Risk.
  • Control focused, with the ability to identify gaps and implement change
  • Strong people management skills, maintaining and developing an inclusive, diverse environment.
  • Ability to execute projects in both an agile and longer term, traditional style.
  • Excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills as well as understanding complex flows
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills and ability to leverage a network across the financing and collateral teams.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced dynamic environment
  • Able to build relationships and influence others including technology, other lines of business (LOBs) and business partners
  • A minimum of 8 years investment banking experience with at least 5 years in Collateral or Fixed income Financing

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in managing a global team
  • Effectively manager multiple complex initiatives and deliverables at the same time by being pro-active, action-oriented and results driven with the ability to prioritize in an ever-changing environment with competing priorities
  • Ability to make date-driven decisions, understanding and communicating performance and financial data executive audiences
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills across varying seniority levels

Work schedule

  • This hybrid role requires going into the office three days a week with two days' flexibility to work from home, subject to change
