International Retirement & Actuarial Consultant (East Coast, U.S. - Remote, U.K. - London)
Location: Remote

This position serves as an advisor for clients and project manager and/or reviewer of various client projects. Collaborates with Account Managers and Lead Actuaries to manage service delivery and maintain strong client relationships. Contribute to new business development efforts and corporate initiatives, as appropriate. May serve as lead actuary for some accounts and/or supervise junior staff members.
Responsibilities
As a Consultant in the International Consulting Practice (ICP), you will be responsible for serving as strategic advisor to multinational clients concerning their pensions, retirement, and other non-retirement benefit plans. You will be expected to support new business development and provide support across our Global offerings and client projects.
The essential duties will include, but not limited to:
  • Support and manage multiple large international retirement consulting engagements.
  • Be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of accounting disclosure deliverables for our multinational clients.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell new products and services.
  • Build relationships with internal and external sources to maximize penetration of our existing client base.
  • Perform technical review of complex retirement valuations as well as other work products.
  • Finalize and present quality deliverables to clients.
  • Establish a trusted advisor role with clients.
  • Ensure delivery team members are maintaining progress against established budget, timeline, and quality standards.
  • Serve as International strategist on global client assignments.
  • Contribute to the development of new tools and approaches related to global retirement consulting.
  • Build internal relationships and help develop successful cross practice collaborations.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • An undergraduate or BA/BS degree (mathematics, finance, economics, actuarial, or other degrees where quantitative skills are required is preferred)
  • 6 - 10 years of experience of global retirement programs for multinational organizations, ideally gained in a consulting environment
  • Recognized actuarial credentials such as ASA, FSA or equivalent international credentials.
  • Track record of successfully managing multinational client relationships
  • Technically sound with and able to focus on detail when required to ensure accurate delivery.
  • Experience in managing multiple people and projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget.
  • Proven ability to recognize and solve client and internal issues, work in teams, and leverage the resources of other related practices to address client challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills well developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience of communicating with client senior leadership (Directors, CFO, Controller, Treasurer)
  • Interest and aptitude in keeping abreast of latest developments in global compensation/benefits approaches and contributing to the development of new tools and approaches.
  • Adept with Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • Experience living and working overseas, and foreign language skills is ideal.
