- Develop, creates, maintains, and monitors: software tools, web maps, and applications.
- Automation of database systems related to GIS.
- Provides support for web mapping infrastructure.
- Assist GIS Coordinator and other specified personnel.
- Produces and distributes digital reports; produces and distributes digital map products.
- Inputs geographic and non-geographic data into the GIS system.
- Operates GIS related equipment and other items.
- Performs a variety of clerical, administrative, and data entry tasks; compiles information and prepares reports; tracks and processes documents; enters and retrieves data.
- Responsible for coordination of plats.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of specialized training in the occupational field, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education. Bachelor's Degree preferred with concentration in technical field with emphasis in GIS mapping. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with two years of progressively responsible experience, or any combination of education, training and experience which provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia or Alabama for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or table or while intermittently sitting, standing, or stooping. The employee occasionally lifts light objects and must distinguish between shades of color. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:

Visual Acuity 1 - prepare, analyze data, transcribing, computer terminal, extensive reading.
Visual Acuity 2 - color, depth perception, field of vision.

Visual Acuity 4 - operate motor vehicles/heavy equipment.
Visual Acuity 5 -close acuity for inspection of small defects, machines, use measurement devices, or fabricate parts.
