Position: GIS Intern

Location: Roselle, IL

Shift: Flexible hours between 7 am -6 pm, Monday- Friday

Hours: Part-Time, 24 - 40 hours per week (Overtime as needed)

Pay: $18-$20/hr

Duration: 6-month internship with possible extension

As a GIS intern at Clarke, you will be able to make a meaningful impact on our Service Operations and community initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Updating and maintaining spatial data/maps for service operations
• Responding to and resolving crew map problems
• Assisting with mobile field apps and dashboard maintenance
• Supporting the sales team
• Ground or aerial surveys
• GIS related fieldwork

Successful Candidate Must:

• Be able to analyze and interpret spatial data
• Understand GIS principles, systems, and technologies
• Have experience with the ESRI suite of products - ArcGIS is required, other GIS software experience a plus (QGIS, MapInfo, Google Earth, Google MyMaps)
• First preference will be given to those with completed college-level GIS courses or 1-2 year's experience working with a GIS software
• Be 18 years of age or older

• Communicate effectively in English in both written and verbal forms
• Have a valid Driver's License with an excellent driving record
• Ability to sit and drive a vehicle for extended periods as well as walk extensively
