Gis Analyst

```Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled GIS Analyst to join our team. As a GIS Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing geographic data and creating visual representations of that data using GIS software. You will work closely with project managers and other team members to support various projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in scripting, databases, and data analysis, as well as experience in project management and data visualization.

Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret geographic data from various sources
- Create maps, charts, and other visual representations of geographic data using GIS software
- Perform spatial analysis to identify patterns and trends in the data
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to support project objectives
- Maintain and update GIS databases
- Conduct quality control checks on GIS data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Provide technical support and training to other team members as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for automating tasks and data manipulation
- Experience working with databases (e.g., SQL) for storing and retrieving spatial data
- Project management skills to effectively plan and execute GIS projects
- Ability to analyze and visualize complex spatial data sets
- Familiarity with APIs for integrating GIS data into other applications
- Knowledge of AutoCAD for working with engineering drawings is a plus
- Previous experience in land surveying or related field is a plus

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $48.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
