GIS Analyst - Electric and Gas

This position will be responsible for analyzing and processing data related to Electric and Gas utility mapping efforts. The candidate will assist the utility in the maintenance of field and system records in their mapping and work management systems. Provides working knowledge and technical support in Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping and reconciliation. Applies technical expertise and functional experience to solve operational problems identified. Evaluates new and existing procedures, components, tools, and systems and develop necessary test procedures and resources.

• Manage assigned projects and tasks.
• Support Operations with GIS data services to reconcile and post data updates in the customer's electric database.
• Use system tools to perform QA/QC to ensure network connectivity, data relationships and attribution checks.
• Convert data from paper or other systems into the customer’s gas and electric digital systems.
• Update and export data to support OMS, DMS, and ADMS applications.
• Monitor the performance of recent program implementations and make any adjustments as required to achieve desired results.

• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Must possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with various departments to meet Company and Project Goals.
• Must have the ability to develop significant rapport and positive working relationships with field personnel.
• Must possess a basic understanding of business operating groups, GIS tools, and Electric and Gas distribution system.
• Must be proficient in Esri ArcGIS versions 10.2.1, 10.8.1, Utility Network, Schneider Electric Designer, and ArcFM Web Viewer.
• Ability to utilize engineering/technical principles to analyze and take action on findings.
• Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Power BI, and possibly Power Apps.
