Bishop Ireton High School, a Catholic, co-educational college preparatory school located in Alexandria, Virginia, is in search of a dedicated experienced professional to serve as the Varsity Head Coach for the Girls Soccer team. Bishop Ireton plays in the competitive Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) and Virginia Independent School Athletic Association (VISAA) against some of the top programs in the country. The goal of the Varsity Head Coach should be to lead the girls' soccer program at the highest level of league and state play, and to ensure that the JV program is preparing athletes for varsity play.
BI Girls' Soccer is played in the Fall Athletic Season, which runs from early August to mid-November. The coach needs to be ready to manage pre-season workouts in the summer and build the coaching staff prior to the start of the season. Prior coaching and/or collegiate play experience is preferred.
Bishop Ireton Applicants will be evaluated on:experience coaching high school aged-students;vision for building and leading a competitive high school soccer program; commitment to the principles of our Catholic, college preparatory school; andinterpersonal skills and record of developing strong relationships with student-athletes, administrators, parent/guardians, and others in the school community. Experience and familiarity with competitive high school, or equivalent youth soccer programs are desirable. The Varsity Head Coach receives a stipend and reports to the Athletic Director.
