Job description

SMX Elevate ISR is looking for a Geospatial Analyst (SME) to join our team in providing cutting edge analytics in support of military, law enforcement, and commercial entities. The Geospatial Analyst (SME) will directly support multiple analytic platforms, providing technical expertise, data research, analysis, and production. In addition to directly supporting client analytic requirements, the Geospatial Analyst (SME) will also support Elevate ISR capability advancement through analytic training/development, performing data and technology testing and evaluation, and serving as a subject matter expert regarding geospatial analytics.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced geospatial data identification, gathering, fusion, and analysis of publicly and commercially available data, products, and services
  • Utilize advanced geospatial applications and toolsets to analyze vector and raster datasets to develop networks and identify advanced analytic insights
  • Develop quantitative and qualitative geospatial analytic techniques to integrate and analyze data, solve problems, and effectively communicate results to senior leaders and decision makers
  • Generate technical requirements and drive capability development efforts related to geospatial data, analytics, and technology
  • Provide all-source type data research and analysis of publicly and commercially available data as needed in support of ongoing operations
  • Provide on the job training of geospatial applications and datasets to fellow team members across Elevate ISR and coordinate with and inform leadership of operational challenges as needed

Required Skills & Experience

  • Required clearance: TS/SCI
  • Must have 10+ years experience in working with geospatial data, toolsets, and applications in support of government, military, and/or commercial analytics
  • Demonstrated expertise in utilizing ArcPro to fuse data, conduct advanced analytics, and produce formal products in support of government and military priority efforts
  • Expertise in acquiring and visualizing spatio-temporal data to perform advanced network and geospatial Analysis
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and tradecraft standards to deliver analytic findings in geospatial graphics, table/textual format, or other formats as required by the client
  • Expert ability in converting data collected from disparate sources to normalize data and perform network and geospatial analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to operate individually and in a team environment in researching multi-faceted problem sets in a dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of commercial datasets commonly used in support of Law Enforcement and Department of Defense information and analytic operations
  • Bachelors degree in scientific related field
  • Experience utilizing commercially available analytic toolsets, including but not limited to: ArcMap/ArcPro, Arc Toolbox, Arc Model Builder, SOCET GXP, Google Earth

Desired Skills/Experience

  • Experience utilizing Analyst's Notebook to visualize networks and produce formal graphics
  • Prior experience providing leadership and guidance to an analytic team
  • Analytic support to SOF
  • Knowledge of the targeting cycle
  • Knowledge of other intelligence disciplines, including signals intelligence (SIGINT), human intelligence (HUMINT), Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT), imagery intelligence (IMINT), and Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT)
