- Able to communicate and assist clients effectively with a professional and friendly attitude.
- Performs variety of soil tests including but not limited to proctors, PIs, classifications.
- Prepares concrete cylinders for curing as well as performs compression strength tests on concrete samples.
- Sample materials in the field
- Data entry of field reports; and distributing reports to clients.
- Logging in samples for analyzing.
- Provides information to customers and co-workers about the department abilities/schedules upon request.
- Works with management to investigate and resolve customer problems or complaints.
- Able to work effectively in Word, Excel, and Adobe.
- Operates office machines such as calculator, fax, and copy machines.
- Follows Standard Operating Procedures while carrying out the responsibilities of position.
- Attends all meetings and training sessions as required.
Requirements: * High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
- Clean driving record
Experience preferred
Ability to acquire ACI Certification required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
