Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $56,600 - Midpoint: $73,600 (Salaried E9)

Department/Organization: 204431 - Geography

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm

Job Summary: The Geography Researcher II will support ongoing research projects in the field of geography, working closely with a team of researchers and project leads. Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing spatial data, assisting with fieldwork and data collection activities, and contributing to the preparation of research reports and presentations.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of research experience; OR master's degree and two (2) years of research experience.

Skills and Knowledge: Experience with remote sensing analysis, geographic information system, or flood mapping and analysis. Experience with geospatial data management. Knowledge of cloud-based applications.

Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in Geography, Environmental Sciences or equivalent with emphasis on Remote Sensing and Geospatial Analysis. At least 2 years of postdoctoral experience in research related to remote sensing and geospatial analysis.
