Job Description
Geospatial is looking for a GIS Specialist to support the growth and continued development of our GIS program. The GIS Specialist will be working with the Market Lead to develop growth strategies, review internal/external opportunities, identify ESRI GIS solutions, and develop customized GIS client solutions from field to finish.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Framework development for Survey123, Quick Capture and Field Maps in support of asset collection and attribution.
- Ability to train internal and client staff on the basic use of Survey123, Quick Capture and Field Maps
- Framework development for municipal clients in support of AGOL through customized and ESRI based schemas.
- Perform regular and frequent ArcGIS Pro and AGOL updates in coordination with CT Project Managers and Client Representatives.
- Support and basic training of internal staff, project managers and engineers on the use of various ESRI GIS products
- Data conversion, digitization, georeferencing and uploading of historic information to ArcGIS Pro and AGOL.
- Quality Assurance/Quality Control of field collected assets and attribution.
- Perform workflow analysis and documentation on a regular basis.
- Assist in client and product development to identify existing/new GIS opportunities and clients.
- Extensive knowledge of Esri ArcGIS software and processes
- Four (4) years of experience using ArcGIS Pro
- Four (4) years of experience using ArcGIS Online (AGOL)
- Experience with developing and operating Survey123, Quick Capture and Field Maps
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in understanding geospatial workflows and deliveries.
- Familiar with municipal government operations.
- Understand Civil Engineering Concepts & Municipal Utility Systems.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is desired, but not required.
- Knowledge of SQL or Python is highly desired, but not required.
- Knowledge of GPS field data collection is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on internal/external client communication and GIS team members.
- Proven experience providing excellent customer service to internal/external clients.
- Critical thinking skills, non-linear thinking, problem solving.
- Strong technical proficiency using Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Attention to high level detail and management of quality.
