They provide maintenance of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and generator equipment along with turnkey equipment installations for every business sector all around Northern California, Southern California, and the Western Region of the United States. Each member of their field team averages over 20 years of industry experience in uninterruptible power system maintenance, UPS repair, remote monitoring, and emergency power installation.
Job Summary:
The Generator Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on generators of all makes and models and various sizes, as well as providing excellent customer service and keeping accurate records. Generator Technicians will perform troubleshooting of commercial and industrial diesel/natural gas generators, including automatic transfer switches, batteries, and load‐bank testing.
Essential Duties:
- Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on standby generator systems
- Troubleshooting and diagnostic testing, load‐bank testing, and start‐ups
- Identifies causes of generator problems and/ or failures
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs to generators
- Effectively communicate with customers and internal team members
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements/Experience:
- 2-5 years of related experience/training or equivalent combination of both education and experience
- Previous experience working on commercial and industrial generators
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Preferred knowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems (such as generators, switchgear, and ATS units)
- Valid State Driver’s License
- Excellent organizational skills
- Must have strong self‐management skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
