Travel to any Western Alaskan location as directed by the Company, including travel on small aircraft and marine vessels. There may be extended periods of time on a vessel. The position requires extensive travel within Alaska.

Schedule:
- Somewhat flexible but typically, seven days per week, twelve hours per day.
- Duration of assignment is also flexible.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Primary job duties in support of Marine Operations:
- Maintain and repair diesel and gasoline powered vehicles, heavy equipment, air compressors and pumps carried by barges.
- Fuel Truck Driver, deliver and receive fuel to and from company storage tanks, customer tanks and barges on beaches and unimproved roads.
- Operate heavy equipment including forklifts and bulldozers and assist with launching boats and barges.
- Load and offload freight on barges.
- Follow all Company Policies and Procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Secondary job duties that are preferred although not required include:
- Welding, basic metal repair and fabrication.
- Maintenance of mechanical systems on marine vessels.
- Proficiency with fleet technology.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent or experience in lieu of education
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check, motor vehicle record check and drug test
- DOT Medical Card
- Class B Commercial Driver's License with Tanker and HAZMAT endorsements
- General maintenance skill, i.e., facility and/or equipment
- Must be able to lift at least 70 pounds
- Must be able to wear a half face respirator
- Must be able to climb stairs at least 50 ft. high
- Requires work outside in all types of weather
- Excellent attendance record
- Ability to work overtime
Preferred Qualifications:
- Welding Certification
- SIDA Certification
- Forklift Operator Certification
- 24-hour HAZWOPER certificate
- General knowledge of Tank Farm operations
