General Manager

Bloom & Blaze is seeking an experienced General Manager to join our team. An ideal candidate knows how to motivate team members, solve problems quickly and effectively, and take intentional steps towards accomplishing goals.

The General Manager will work closely with leadership to define key performance indicators (KPIs), generate standard operating procedures (SOPs), and oversee business progress. The GM will lead the success of our Saginaw locations by implementing SOPs, supervising staff, tracking and measuring KPIs, ensuring customer satisfaction, and staying informed about all local and state cannabis retail laws. They will be in charge of ensuring the company maintains compliance on all fronts and will be the face of the store when it comes to interacting with law enforcement, landlords, vendors, and employees.

Qualified GM applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and retail management experience. Experience in the cannabis industry, especially cannabis retail management experience, is highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all levels of the retail organization, including all departments, employees, and operations
• Create and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for dispensary functions including inventory, check-in, security, and daily opening and closing duties
• Work with ownership to develop short-term and long-term strategies for business growth and development, including specials and rewards programs
• Initiate marketing initiatives and campaigns to boost dispensary sales
• Manage dispensary staff, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, conducting performance evaluations, training, and education
• Create and manage staff schedule
• Oversee store compliance
• Work with Inventory Manager to establish relationships with wholesalers to maintain optimal inventory at all times
• Lead, Mentor & Coach Lead Bud Tender/Assistant Manager
• Provide proper training and motivation for dispensary employees including but not limited to assistant, General Manager, lead budtender bud tenders, inventory manager/compliance manager, greeters, & security.
• Manage the Bloom & Blaze Saginaw, MI location by scheduling any necessary repairs and making sure cleanliness is maintained.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree
• 5 years management experience, preferably with at least 3 years in the retail and/or cannabis industry
• Strong leadership skills
• Impeccable organization
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exemplary time management skills
• Adept interpersonal skills with the ability to work well both independently and with others
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Must possess valid driver’s license or state ID
• Must pass all required background checks

Compensation:

· Compensation will be based off of level of experience.

· Healthcare Benefits will be provided after 60 days of employment.

· Compensation package will include Vacation and Sick Time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
