DEL-AIR Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration is a rapidly growing industry leader with seven locations serving Central Florida - Clermont, Davenport, Jacksonville, Melbourne, Sanford (headquarters), Sarasota, and Tampa.


Primary Role:The General Manager will direct and supervise the staff and day-to-day operations (HVAC, plumbing and electrical operations) in the assigned Center location, carrying out the Del-Air mission to exceed every customer’s expectation. The General Manager will ensure the delivery of quality customer service and achievement of sales or productivity goals.

Specific Duties & Tasks:

  • Oversees the day-to-day workflow of the HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical functions of assigned branch.
  • Provides leadership to the Center team demonstrating excellent customer service and a safety-first culture.
  • Collaborates with leadership Team, branch managers, sales managers, call center, and other key stakeholders to set reasonable sales and/or productivity goals for assigned location.
  • Collaborates with RSR Operations leaders to set performance standards. Standards may be based on financial and operational goals and required compliance with internal, local, state, and federal policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Conducts regular Team meetings to ensure that goals and objectives are clearly communicated with branch staff; provides guidance and leadership to enable staff to meet these goals and objectives while maintaining alignment with the mission and goals of the company.
  • Forecasts capacity needs in all areas of responsibility. Hires and trains qualified candidates to meet business goals.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive, providing recommendations for promotion and salary adjustment as appropriate. Actively participates in annual succession planning to drive professional development of staff.
  • Identifies training needs and opportunities; develops and implements a plan for meeting those needs in partnership with other business leaders as needed.
  • Maintains and develops positive relationships with all Team members, customers, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Responsible for managing warehouse inventory and associated processes to support business needs.
  • Participates in community activities to promote the organization and to build goodwill.
  • Collaborates with other managers and marketing team regarding advertising, marketing, and growth campaigns.
  • Consistently evaluates existing business processes to improve the support of Team members, the customer experience and overall business performance.
  • Conducts regular field visits with Residential Sales Consultants, Installers and Technicians; makes routine visits to call center as warranted.
  • Assists with start-up, development, and growth of new branches as needed.
  • Performs other related duties in line with the position of Branch Manager.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
  • Responsible for special projects as requested by senior leadership and other duties/ responsibilities as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with all Del-Air policies and procedures.


Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent industry experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least three years of experience leading an operations team.
  • Proved track record of reaching sales and service goals.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Eligible to legally work in the United States.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and able to meet FCCI auto guidelines to operate a company-owned vehicle.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Successfully complete a background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.
