JOB TITLE:  Food Service Director/ GM (Hospital Dining)

LOCATION:  Morehead City, NC

SALARY:  $80-85K per year

Salary range is based on experience

Now hiring an experienced Food Service Director in the gorgeous Morehead City NC area.  We are seeking a Director who prioritizes our Patient and Guest Dining experience while leading and mentoring our AMAZING Food Service Team Members.  With volume close to 1M, this position encompasses a Cafe, Coffee Kiosk, Micro Market and Patient Food Service (with VST automated system) in a fast paced 90 bed hospital setting. Must have retail and Patient Services experience. Must be digitally savvey to include digital ordering and inventory, patient food service ordering systems, and automated HR functions including payroll, job postings, and new hire onboarding.


Metz Culinary Management is growing and we have openings for a Rock Star Food Service Director/GM who shares our passion for Food and Service. This position is a prominent opportunity in a busy commercial kitchen and cafe operations setting and requires a polished and professional identity and winning attitude from a Director with experience leading a team in all operations. Experience desired in a Contract Dining Food Service setting such as Hospital, School, College, Senior Living or Corporate Dining accounts.


The Food Service Director/ GM has an overall responsibility of food service. He/She institutes company cycle menus and recipes; plans and oversees purchasing, employee personnel programs, scheduling, bookkeeping, customer and client relations; overseas the food preparation service and sanitation; and is accountable for the total operation results. The General Manager reports to Client Administration and The District Manager.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+Plus Years in a Food Service Manager role (front and back)
  • Knowledgeable in Retail Sales and POS systems
  • Catering Management Experience
  • Impeccable Communication Skills
  • Restaurant Management knowledge
  • Thorough knowledge of Menu implementation with stunning presentation ideas
  • Team Building with strong Recruiting and Retention Program
  • Technology Savvy
  • Hospitality Degree a strong plus
