JOB TITLE: General Manager
SALARY: $85,000 (could be adjusted based on experience)
DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a General Manager to oversee all staff, budgets and operations of the local business unit. General Manager responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, managing people and establishing policies. Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):
- Oversee day-to-day operations
- Design strategy and set goals for growth
- Update existing program regulations and sub-regulatory guidance (bulletins and other communication) and billing instructions as needed.
- Lead all stakeholder engagement, including development and maintenance of effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders and provide timely communication, as well as developing and delivering provider education.
- Oversee provider compliance with all applicable program rules, regulations and sub-regulatory guidance including provider education, engagement and escalation including referral for audit and implementation and management of corrective action plans.
- Participate and assist leading budget planning, rate setting, and rate regulation amendment promulgation activities.
- Collaborate with DMEPOS team in managing contract requirements for existing ISA’s, RFR’s and preferred supplier contracts.
- Coordinate with budget, legal, providers, other state agencies and advocacy groups to appropriately implement program and ensure access and quality of care.
- Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
- Direct the employee assessment process
- Prepare regular reports for upper management
- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role
- Experience in planning and budgeting
- Durable Medical Equipment (DME) experience and Medical coding and billing experience would be a plus
- Knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
- Strong analytical ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Knowledge of strategic and operational planning processes related to clinical and business operations.
- Experience leading a team of professionals.
- Ability to manage time and set priorities and reach decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge and experience in LTSS program policy development, analysis and evaluation.
- Possess strong programmatic knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment, Oxygen, Orthotics and Prosthetics Programs and Services including Medicare rates and billing procedures
