Job Summary
Our organization is looking for an experienced General Manager to oversee and manage daily operations in its franchised select service hotel, who will provide leadership, drive overall excellence in guest services, and achieve goals.
Responsibilities and Duties
The General Manager would be capable of managing daily operations and providing leadership in the property's ongoing effort to deliver superior service and meeting budgets and profitability targets.
Specifically, the General Manager would be responsible for the effective following of tasks including but not limited to:
- Lead, direct and manage all hotel operations including, but not limited to hotel budgeting and forecasting, strategic planning, leading service initiatives, leading and managing balanced scorecard performance, implementing and complying with all company policies and standards, overseeing sales and marketing initiatives, leading and developing the executive team, responding to guests inquiries and resolving concerns and hotel-wide meeting participation and facilitation
- Follow and maintain corporate policies and procedures
- Ensure guest and team member satisfaction
- Monitor and develop team member performance, particularly the executive team and department heads, to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
- Recruit, interview and train team members to effectively perform tasks and duties
- Oversee service quality, operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, standards compliance and service and financial measurements
- Identify operational performance, productivity and efficiency gaps and implement measures to correct those deficiencies
- Serve as primary liaison between the property, corporate officers and hotel ownership
Qualifications and Skills
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of General Manager experience
- Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Administration or Business Administration
- Strong leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in operating midscale and/or upper-midscale hotels
- Knowledge and exposure in the local and regional market
Accountability:
- This position reports directly to corporate leadership and officers
