DESCRIPTION:
The GM will coordinate and manage the entire operations of our 47 seat, fine dining restaurant with general duties that include but not limited to; daily operations, service protocols, employee retention, facilities management, operational and financial effectiveness, service training. Fundamental to the position is an understanding of the owners vision and plans for the company and the ability to communicate and manage to them effectively in a chef-driven environment.
Scope of Work:
- Monitor and evaluate all daily activities in order to ensure the successful day-to-day management of all restaurant operations.
- Evaluate the performance of food and beverage programming by measuring guest satisfaction, volume, product mix, revenue, and costs in order to implement necessary changes to allow for the most successful operation of services and fulfillment of company objectives.
- Ensure that the Company continuously delivers unparalleled hospitality and excellence to its guests.
- Uphold the restaurants service standards and ensure utmost guest satisfaction.
- Manage the quality and flow of service through communication with team.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2 yrs previous restaurant management experience required in a similar concept (AGM or higher)
- Food Handlers certification
- Availability to work every day of the week including holidays
- Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly and safely
- Must be able to work in a stationary position for 7-8 hours (excluding breaks) at a time
- Must be able to move 40 pounds at time
- Must be able to comply with all health and safety standards
