Founded in 2018, JED’s Local is a casual neighborhood restaurant serving Louisiana and American classics. JED’s, along with the nearby Eliza Restaurant, are both under the locally owned Davis Restaurant Group, which is positioned for expansion in the years to come.
We are seeking an ambitious and energetic General Managerto lead our team and to be a part of our future expansions.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- 3-5 years of restaurant experience in a full service concept with proven leadership experience, either in a managerial or supervisory role
- Excellent guest service skills, ready to provide a daily example to the team of what true service and hospitality means.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Proven business management experience or a desire to learn; able to read and understand financial statements and to make sound business decisions independently when needed
- Has a genuine interest and excitement for food, beverage and hospitality and willingness to continue learning.
- Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate, organized and proactive
General Management responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the staff and the guest experience, ensuring that the restaurant remains profitable and shifts run smoothly.
- Creates and maintains weekly employees schedules
- Works with both the front and back of house staff to provide a top notch experience for the guest
- Manages the ordering, receiving and inventory for the front of house supplies; maintains positive relationships with all vendors.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, onboarding and training all front of house staff. Provide quarterly employee performance reviews for all subordinates.
- Continually coaches and mentors staff to ensure they are performing their duties at the highest level.
- Provides feedback and counsel to staff when needed to make sure and performance or interpersonal issues are addressed immediately and handled appropriately.
- Fully understands all restaurant systems such as the POS, Payroll and HR software and can problem solve and train others when needed.
- Participate in weekly manager meetings, reporting on specific business and sales goals and offering suggestions for improvement and growth
- Take ownership of all marketing and promotional events in the restaurant, ensuring customer satisfaction and success
- Be an example of integrity, enthusiasm and hospitality to both the team and the guests.
Benefits:
- Base Salary $52,000+, depending upon experience
