In the role of General Manager, you will assist in the implementation of Raindrop Car Wash’s Customer Commitment at the sites that make up your region. As such, your role will require the continued management and development of the onsite staff, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), ensuring staff are trained and compliant with Raindrop Car Wash policies, and coordinating with the operations and facilities management teams to ensure your facility remains compliant and welcoming. This role comes with the intrinsic opportunity to significantly affect the success of Raindrop Car Wash.
Role Responsibilities
1. Workforce Management: Develop and implement weekly and monthly staffing schedules to ensure optimal workforce allocation based upon budgeted labor allocations. Oversee labor management, maintaining a balance between productivity and budgetary constraints.
2. Recruitment & Talent Management: Identify staffing needs and work with Raindrop’s corporate recruiter to locate candidates, conduct interviews, and make key hiring decisions.
2. Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback, and highlighting opportunities for individual growth.
3. Handle terminations, in conjunction with Human Resources, with respect and due diligence, ensuring minimal disruption to team dynamics.
3. Responsible for ensuring site inventory is ordered & maintained at compliant levels.
4. Sales & Membership Metrics: Strategize and implement initiatives to achieve or surpass a conversion rate of 8%. Monitor membership dynamics, aiming to keep churn rates at 6% or lower. Formulate strategies to enhance retention and address attrition causes.
5. Operational Excellence: Champion adherence to the Operations Checklist, conducting regular audits to ensure consistent service quality. Focus on volume efficiency, ensuring the rewash rate is managed below 3%.
6. Customer Experience Handling: 1. Directly handle customer incidents and complaints, ensuring swift resolution and maintaining brand reputation.
7. Team Leadership & Development: Cultivate a positive work environment, fostering a culture of teamwork, excellence, and mutual respect. Offer continuous training opportunities, especially during dedicated Training Nights, to upskill team members. Resolve internal conflicts, promoting unity and maintaining team morale. Work some weekend/evening shifts (at Area Operations Manager discretion) to ensure all operational hours achieve customer experience excellence.
8. Preventative Maintenance & Site Cleanliness: Oversee routine site inspections ensuring equipment is in prime condition and the environment remains clean and hazard-free. Establish and adhere to a preventative maintenance schedule, mitigating potential breakdowns and ensuring operational continuity. Spearhead Maintenance Nights, ensuring equipment is serviced and any issues are promptly addressed.
9. General Manager Training & Team Building: Participate in General Manager specific training programs to continuously improve leadership skills and industry knowledge. Organize and lead team-building activities, fostering stronger interpersonal relationships and a cohesive team environment.
Required Skills/Abilities
1. Prolonged and extensive periods standing, walking, lifting, and throwing.
2. Duties require frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
3. Exposure to loud sounds.
4. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
5. Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
6. Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
Education/Experience
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
2. 5 years of people management experience required; 10+ years preferred.
3. Car wash experience preferred but not required/essential.

Salary Information
Pay will be based upon a combination of the following:
1. Base Salary: 1. Current Base Salary Rate: $50,000 (Pay Grade: GM Level I)
2. Incentive Compensation: 1. Paid monthly and determined as attainment of three site performance goals: 1. Conversion Percentage 2. Voluntary Churn Percentage 3. Labor Budget Adherence
3. Annual incentive compensation range: $0 - $33,333. 3. Total Compensation at 100% Plan Achievement: $70,000
