Job Description
This position, under general supervision, performs a variety of indoor and outdoor maintenance activities of Minnesota State College Southeast and is responsible for all cleaning and General Maintenance services throughout the campus. The position shall provide a safe, clean environment for faculty, staff and students performing heavy custodial and grounds work, including the operation of heavy equipment to provide lawn care and snow removal as well as proper maintenance and repair of the building and grounds and related work, as required. This position is considered an essential employee and will assist in safety, security, maintenance, and operations of Minnesota State College Southeast's Red Wing Campus. A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required for this position.

Job Description

Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of different types of flooring/floor covering sufficient to determine proper methods of maintenance and appropriate cleaning methods, materials, agents and equipment
- Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, bleaches, scouring agents and soaps sufficient to appropriately select the agent(s), handle and apply, and dispose of safely.
- Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in maintenance sufficient to use effectively and operate safely and to make minor repairs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge and operation of equipment and vehicles such as lawn tractors, snow blowers, hand and power tools.
- Class "C" Special Boilers License
