General Maintenance Technician

E&E Foods is launching a search for a General Maintenance Technician at our Pacific Star Plant in Kenai, Alaska. In this role, the ideal candidate will specialize in carpentry and be able to perform a variety of tasks ensuring the proper running of all plant systems. The systems include but are not limited to the powerhouse, refrigeration, production lines, water system, kitchen and bunkhouse and buying stations.

Mechanical, carpentry and maintenance skills are required.
Requirements
Job Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
This maintenance position will perform a variety of tasks that include:
•Complete work orders within the expected timeframe. Track and record process.
•Assist when needed with carpentry, painting, drywall, plumbing repairs, troubleshoot electrical, machine repair, rekeying, and general repairs to all building systems of common areas.
•Assist and support in the administration of all maintenance related functions including tracking of inventory and data entry.
•Assist the Maintenance Manager in all aspects of the companies' physical upkeep, common grounds, areas, keeping areas clean and safe for all employees.
•Assist in scheduling or performing proper testing, regular inspections, and maintenance of company equipment and preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) in our operation.
•Promptly available to on-call responses to after-hours building emergencies
•Develops and maintains positive relationships with co-workers, vendors, and clients.
SALARY & BENEFITS: Wage range is $20-25, DOE. Room and board provided.
Work Environment: E&E Foods offers a business casual work environment.
•Work is typically performed onsite/in-person.
•The ability to sit at a desk/computer station, bend, stoop, walk, climb ladders and generally move around the facility is a requirement.
•Requires some lifting and moving of objects up to 50lbs.
•This position requires a person to be on their feet the majority of the day.
•Excellent communication skills are essential.
