General Maintenance Tech Ii (Melbourne)

Pax is currently looking for an experienced General Maintenance Tech to join the squad at our Melbourne All Suites hotel in Melbourne, FL. Our Maintenance Techs are the backbone of our hotels -- you keep our clients and staff happy by keeping things running and fixing them when they aren't.
As our Maintenance Tech, you'll be expected to:

• Assist the Chief Engineer with all maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks
• Monitor daily electric, water, and gas consumption
• Complete assigned budgets to the Chief Engineer's standards for budget, schedule, and quality
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all workstations, storage rooms, grounds, and landscaping according to Pax standards
• Perform daily inspection of interior/exterior lighting, fixtures, and furnishings
• Stay in contact with the front desk agents to ensure all tickets are addressed and/or completed
• Recover/report lost items to front desk or manager
• Respond to all guest/staff concerns courteously and professionally
• Attend and contribute during weekly meetings
• Troubleshoot and handle in-house repairs regarding HVAC, the removal and replacement of ceramic tiles, painting, repair of or replacement of wallboard systems, carpentry, cabinetry, laminate replacement, and granite repairs.

• Assists guests and staff in the resolution of unit maintenance, housekeeping and facility concerns, complaints, and questions.

• Utilize specific hand and power tools required to accomplish all phases of projects from rough-in carpentry to trim cabinetry.

• Perform any other duties deemed necessary by the Facility Operations Manager or equivalent manager.

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years of experience in hotel/building maintenance
• Must be available to work weekends
• Shift Schedule: Monday & Tuesday 10AM - 7PM (Mid Shift)
