Commercial Liability Claims Associate (Entry Level)
Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies is looking to hire a Commercial Liability Claims Associate to conduct office investigations and adjusting commercial liability claims. We are looking to fill this position either in our Corporate Office in Wilkes-Barre, PA or Parsippany, NJ.

Responsibilities
When disaster or accident strikes, the Claims Adjuster is there to help determine the cost of damage. You will learn how to do the following:
The Claims Associate is responsible for conducting office investigations and adjusting commercial General Liability claims. The Claims Associate is also responsible for, but not limited to:

• Investigating losses and identifying coverage issues
• Obtaining and reviewing evidence, reports, and medical records
• Taking statements from insureds, claimants, and witnesses
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and claimant's attorneys
• Research state laws and medical terms
• This position requires daily contact with claimants and/or their attorneys, as well as routine contact with insureds and agents

Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with the following:

• • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and computer skills
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but not required
  • Able to successfully pass Texas Adjuster licensing exam upon hire and to obtain and maintain any other adjuster licenses as required
