General Ledger Clerk-Part-Time

Bristol Bay Shared Services, (BBSS) LLC is a shared service organization of Bristol Bay Native Corporation (BBNC) and is looking for a part-time General Ledger Clerk to help the General Ledger Team process functions for a multi-company, government services environment. This is a teleworking position and the ideal candidate must have the demonstrated ability to effectively interact with others and work independently.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Reconcile balance sheet accounts with proper backup & documentation
2. Maintain GL accounts and Orgs
3. Monitor & organize the GL inbox
4. Help the GL team run and review month end reports
5. Daily banking tasks including fraud filter, positive pay and ACH file payments
6. Reconcile the following monthly and/or quarterly:
a. Bank statements
b. Fixed Assets
c. Unbilled analysis & reporting
d. Intercompany receivables & payables
7. Complete various monthly reports for internal purposes and operations staff
8. Complete other duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
1. Working towards a B.S. in accounting, business or finance
2. Proficiency with Deltek Costpoint, Cognos Reports, and Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is required.
3. Proven ability to exercise strong interpersonal skills for effective verbal, written, and listening communications.
4. Ability to handle stress and work well under pressure.
5. Must possess accomplished leadership skills, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment, strong organizational and team building skills.
