General Laborer Warehouse Lumber Yard

Here at Ridgeline Fence and Deck, we are currently seeking a Yard Worker to join our team. As a Yard Worker, you will be responsible for performing various duties related to materials handling and warehouse operations. This is a great opportunity for individuals with experience in forklift operation and mechanical knowledge. Duties would include, but not be limited to:

- Be able to lift/move a minimum of 50 pounds or more.

- Maintaining a clean organized store, organization is important.

- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including checking and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments

- Assist with inventory management by organizing and maintaining stock in the yard

- Follow safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe work environment

- Manage and prepare job orders for fence crews each day.

- Knowledge of lumber & mathematical skills.

- Time management and communication are KEY.

- You must consistently communicate well with employees and customers.

- Customer service skills. Assist customers with any inquiries they may have.

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Yard Worker or in a similar role preferred

- Proficiency in operating a forklift, and other materials handling equipment.

- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment

- Ability to lift heavy objects 50lbs or more and perform physical tasks as required

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
