General Laborer
Summary/Objective
25/8 Safety is currently looking for General Laborers to join our team. This position will require a hardworking, hands-on, safety conscious work ethic. General Laborers may be responsible for performing various duties in several industrial settings that include, but are not limited to, tank cleaning, vacuuming, blasting, power washing, and job-site maintenance.
Essential Functions

- Participate in practical and manual activities on a daily basis
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure that health and safety standards are achieved, including but not limited to wearing all protective safety equipment
- Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects
- Operate light and heavy equipment including, but not limited to sand blasting equipment, power washers, and hoses, etc.
- May require work in confined spaces, elevated spaces, hot, wet, and cold environments for an 8-12 hour shift
- Work in environments with hazardous materials and excessive noise levels
- Work extended hours, evening, and weekend work, as well as work out of town for extended periods of time, when needed.
- Additional duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
This job has the potential to operate in both outside and/or inside environments and can be exposed to multiple weather conditions, as well as loud noises.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position is considered a part time seasonal position. The employee is expected to work up to 8-12 hours per day as needed. Overtime may occasionally be required.
Travel
This position requires some travel, up to 25%.
Required Education and Experience
- Must be able to pass DOT drug screening
- Consistently demonstrate safe working practices required
- Ability to read and write in English is required
- Maintain a valid driver’s license
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends, holidays and out of town
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform strenuous physical labor in various work environments
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Must be able to wear a full-face respirator
