We are seeking a General Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will support worksite operations through manual labor tasks. This may include keeping the worksite clean through the collection of trash, operating power tools, cutting and pulling of heavy vegetation, or other necessary tasks. The ideal candidate is a hard worker with the ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean work environment by picking up trash, excess building materials, or other potentially hazardous products
- Provide assistance to team members
- Transport materials and equipment from one location to another
- Operate power tools and/or industrial equipment such as, weed trimmers with brush cutter, commercial chainsaws, telescoping pole saws cable of reaching at least 12 Feet, gas powered sheers, hand sheers, tag lines, climbing gear, chippers, fuel, oil, chains, tools to repair and maintain their equipment.
- Always be in Uniform and Must have work boots
- Clearing of Heavy Vegetation overgrowth, and Cutting of trees
- Other manual labor tasks as required by the foreman or supervisor
- Report any unsafe conditions or equipment in need of repair
- All tools, materials, trash, and debris will be removed at the end of each shift
- Must be able to identify U.S Occupational and Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Compliance, State, Country and Local Safety and Occupation Health Standards and any other applicable rules and regulations.
- Must be badged and able to pass a (RWP) Roadway Worker Protection Test.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, digging, and standing for long periods
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to adhere to all safety rules and regulations
- Knowledge of power tools and industrial machinery is preferred
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Additional certifications or apprenticeship experience is preferred but not necessary
