Traffic Field Data Technician - Driver

Tri-State Traffic Data Inc. is looking to hire a Traffic Data Field Technician to drive an ATTENUATOR TRUCK (Roughly the size of a Dump Truck) and help set out traffic cameras along highways and interstates. You MUST have some experience driving a large commercial vehicle of this type on busy roads through areas of New York City and Long Island.

The work will entail shadowing behind another vehicle that is setting out traffic cameras. The technician will be needed to get into and out of the work vehicle at each site and assist the lead technician with setting up the safety zone at each site.

We also assign other jobs that will include setting cameras for intersection studies and setting road tube machine counters for NYDOT and private work.

The work area for this position will be within a 3-4 hour radius of Westchester County, with most work being within two hours of Westchester county.

Most of the sites are set out at night so availability to work nights (8PM-5 AM) is required.

A CDL driving license is not required, however having a CDL and experience driving large commercial trucks is preferred.

Candidate should have a safe location to park the Attenuator Truck when not in use.

Candidates must have the following:

- Valid NY Drivers license (CDL Preferred)

- Must have basic computer skills.

- Be able to email (Including attachments)

- Candidate should be physically fit and be very mobile

Most of your weekends will be off from field work as well as major summer holidays (Memorial Day/July 4th/Labor Day). The work season for this position is January - November 15 each year depending upon the weather.
