CMG WSB Atlanta Radio is looking for its next full-time Reporter! This seasoned journalist joins an elite team of broadcasters. We are looking for a high-energy communicator with strong writing and storytelling skills. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated news junkie who consumes all types of news content. He or she must also be adept at using social media to gather and break stories. The winning candidate must know how to manage tight deadlines, work sources, accurately cover breaking news and enterprise stories.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Write news stories that are clear, accurate and unbiased
- Gather, write, record, edit and deliver news content
- Ability to develop and effectively pitch story ideas
- Interview newsmakers, witnesses and authorities
- Provide live coverage from the scene when breaking news occurs
- Complete assignments on deadline while continually developing enterprise content.
- Must be an active consumer of social content
- Be consistently up to date on local, national and international stories
- Read and understand complex material and turn it into easily understood copy under deadline pressure
- Write web stories
- Experience with news software like Newsboss or Burli
- There could be an opportunity to fill-in anchor newscasts
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- At least 5 years of reporting experience is required; an extensive on-air background as this is not a position for beginners
- Strong writing and editorial skills
- An idea-generating journalist with a positive attitude and a standout work ethic
- Minimum education of a bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field
- Must be willing to work a schedule that includes holidays and non-traditional work hours
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
