We are looking for a highly motivated and detail oriented individual to join as a General Accountant. This position is ideal for someone with some general experience in accounting who is eager to contribute to the financial success of our organization. The General Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and assisting with various accounting tasks. If you have HOA experience, even better.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience working as an Accountant or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Responsibilities:
- Perform general ledger analyses and bank reconciliations.
- Post adjusting entries and sales transactions to shareholder accounts.
- Backup for payroll processing.
- Assist with entering ACH setups and deletes into the system.
- Assist with entering new shareholder information into CINC or other like database programs.
- Assist in the creation of special reports.
- Assist with entering escrow information into the system.
- Prepare and process Service Request Orders (SROs).
- Maintain the 1099 vendor database and responsible for annual filings.
- Follow up on stale-dated outstanding checks for both GRF and the Mutuals.
- Responsible for implementing and carrying out the annual unclaimed property (escheat) process to the state.
- Billing and maintaining the receivables for outside vendors.
- Implementing process improvements with respect to the accounting software.
