 Required Certifications to be Attached upon Submittal: BLS (American Heart), and Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA
· Minimum Experience: 1-2 years
· Experience: General Surgery
· Charting Experience Required: NA
· Unit Specific Skillset: 4 procedure rooms, aporx 40-50 procedures per day EGD, COLON, ERCP, EUS, GI Bleed
· Unit Information (Bed size, Case type, Patient ratio) 1:1 Patient ratio
· Video interview Required: No
· Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates
· Scrub Colors: Provided
The Gastro Intestinal Technician (GI Tech) works under the direct supervision of a registered nurse in providing age specific direct patient care. He/she ensures that quality is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent in the unit's standards of care. The GI Tech demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice; and treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect
