Gas Analysis Product Manager

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will:

• Define the vision and strategy for the Gas Analysis Product line which includes quartz crystal microbalance, gas chromatopraphy, chilled mirror, tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy, and specific gravity technologies
• Own and priortize strategic product roadmaps, new product development programs, commercial product releases, and any other deliverables to improve the product presence in the market
• Collaborate and lead a cross functional team in areas such as sales, engineering, service and operations in the new product development process to provide products that are responsive to customer needs and market opportunities
• Owns and manages product lifecycle management and obsolescence communication
• Responsible for supporting organization to meet order, revenue, price, and gross margin targets
• Responsible to develop and maintain price lists
• Collaborate with marketing communications on related product collateral, website, campaigns and other related marketing materials for the product line
• Assist in the development of sales & marketing plans for the Gas Analysis Product line
• Interface and collaborate with AMETEK's direct sales team and indirect channel representatives to promote product and drive order volume for target applications and/or key account penetration
• Perform detailed market research, as necessary
• Author articles for trade magazine publications and new application notes, as necessary
• Write and present technical papers for trade shows and related conferences
• Provide technical expertise and training in support of product development and release to market
• Drive Voice of the Customer marketing initiatives through various forms of feedback, i.e. surveys, face to face meetings, conferences, etc.
• Collaborate with key division personnel to drive support of product line

Job Requirements:

• B.S. in Engineering, Marketing, or the Physical Sciences, MBA desired
• Minimum of 5-7 years of product marketing experience in process instrumentation or related fields
• Experience in spectroscopy, chromatography, or other analytical methods regarding applications in the process industries
• Experience in the process control and automation industry, specifically in refining, gas processing, petrochemicals, power, etc. with regards to analytical instrumentation / analyzers
• Experience with market analysis, dealing with ambiguity, making inferences
• Possess excellent marketing skill sets
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of organization, including to senior leadership
• Excellent group presentation skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, self-starter, ability to work independently
• Ability to collect and analyze data (market reports, product line, etc)
• Must exhibit a friendly and cooperative demeanor
• Maintains a high degree of personal integrity at all times
• Ability to attract the support and cooperation of others, team player
• Available to travel both domestically and internationally, 20-40%
• Windows Environment, Microsoft Office Suite, Navision/ERP, Salesforce
• Role based in Newark, DE or Pittsburgh, PA
