Garment Production Coordinator In Fashion

We are a premium children’s fashion brand based in New York called The Sunday Collective, looking for a Garment Production Coordinator in the Fashion Industry to join our team.

We are looking for a passionate individual to coordinate the production of the seasonal collections by working closely with the Production Manager. Please note that this is for a JUNIOR LEVEL Production Coordinator with a minimum of 1 and no more than 3 years’ experience who can commute daily to the headquarter office in New York City.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about their work and who is dedicated within their career path in garment production. An ideal candidate is a team-player who can manage different tasks within the given timeline with excellent organizational skills. This person takes ownership of their role by contributing ideas and investing in personal growth. The Production Coordinator will be able to experience and learn about the full production process of the high-quality garments by working closely with the designers, the production manager, and the vendors. We are looking for an individual who will excel at time management, organizing, and communicating while paying close attention to small details in the production and development process.

Responsibilities

• Must be organized and detail oriented
• Manage/ Follow up WIP reports from each vendor
• Assisting and communicating with overseas manufacturers to follow up on production and delivery status
• Issue and maintain purchase orders
• Follow up/ Update styles with confirmed content, HTS codes and packing instruction
• Manage/ Track all samples
• Manage testing for fabric/ garments for care instruction and bulk performance
• Work with global supplier on all trims purchasing and projections and ensure all trims are available on time
• Review label layouts, SKU number creation and order packaging trims every 1-2 seasons
• Track and log inbound and outbound packages 
• Guide development and production timeline by working closely with Design + TD teams
• Raise any pre and production related issues to ensure prompt resolution 

Qualification & Skills

• Must be eligible to work legally in the US
• No more than 3 years’ experience in Fashion design, sourcing, production or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree in textile production or a related field in Fashion
• Excellence in Microsoft Excel
• Clear communication skills
• Knowledge of garment and textile product development
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Attention to details
• Proficiency in additional language skills is a plus
