Position Description: Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Garment Colorist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring color consistency across various garment elements and collections. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the aesthetic integrity of our products, from development to production.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough review and approval of lab dips, print strike-offs, trims, and embroideries.
Ensure color consistency within garments and across sets and collections.
Utilize standard color commenting language to communicate with overseas suppliers and vendors.
Track and follow up on lab dips and bulk fabrics throughout development and production stages.
Assess fabric and garment testing for Color Fastness.
Maintain awareness of T&A and deadlines to ensure on-time delivery.
Provide dependable attendance, demonstrate a sense of urgency, and maintain a reliable work ethic.
Independently troubleshoot and think creatively.
Qualifications:
Background in apparel product development, particularly in color and fabric.
Knowledge of dyes, dyeing and printing techniques across various fabrics and structures.
Understanding of textile structures and their influence on color appearance.
Proficient in PC/MAC, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PLM.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-starter with a high degree of organization and attention to detail.
Ability to work well under tight time constraints and as part of a team.
Skilled in visual and instrumental color evaluation, including the use of light boxes and Datacolor Spectrophotometers.
Capable of accurately and consistently analyzing and describing color differences.
Effective in communicating technical information to non-technical functions.

$20.00 - $25.00 Hourly
