Garbage Truck Driver - Cdl Class B

Sanico Inc is a locally owned and operated garbage company based out of Phillipsburg NJ. Our service area includes all of Warren County as well as parts of Hunterdon, Morris and Sussex counties. Sanico has an immediate opening for a full-time Garbage Truck Driver requiring a CDL Class B with Airbrakes.

Pay Rates: $25 to $30.50 per hour plus overtime

Job Duties include:

- Comply with all company safety rules and other policies

- Perform pre-trip safety inspection of assigned vehicle

- Submit work orders for any repairs needed on truck

- Drive truck along established route through residential and commercial areas

- Operate hydraulic equipment on truck to dump and compact refuse

- Communicate issues with supervisor

- Drive truck to disposal site and safely dispose of waste/recycling

- Fill out route log and other forms daily as required

Job Requirements:

- CDL drivers must possess Class B w/air brake and must have at least 2 years commercial driving experience

- CDL drivers must possess a valid and current medical certification

- All drivers must have a safe driving history over the last 5 years

- All drivers must be able to pass initial and random drug tests

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to safely exit and re-enter truck many times per day

- Must be able to sit/drive for prolonged periods to complete route (up to 10 hrs)

- Must be able to load garbage and safely clean in and around the truck and containers; requiring bending, reaching, balancing and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Previous Garbage Truck driving experience is not required.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
